The Manifestation Spread
This tarot spread explains the relationship between the parts of the integrated self and the spiritual Self and visa
versa. For the sake of understanding this spread we will pretend they are the same. The lay out follows the shape of a
Pentagram. No this is not a test, that is a Pentacle. We do what we can.
1. The first card is placed in the center. This card represents your Integrated Self at the
present. The self that includes your conscious and unconscious thoughts, your mental
and emotional self.
2. Place the next card to the left and slightly above the center card. This card represents
your spiritual Self or Higher Self. This is where manifestation originates.
3. The next card is to be placed to the right of the center card and slightly above it in line
with the second card. This card represents what you are presently manifesting or
about to manifest in the very near future on this physical plane.
4. The next card would be placed to the bottom left of the center card. It represents what
is possible for you to change and/or what you need to change. I make the distinction
because some things are possible for you to change, some are not. Also you may not
want to or feel able to change some things at this time, even though you acknowledge
that there is a need to make the change the card is recommending.
5. Put the next card above the second and third cards directly above and in line with your
center card. This is the top point of the pentagram. This card represents what you need
to understand or reminds you of what you already understand, about the relationship
between the left and right cards (or 2nd or 3rd cards). This card may be reminding you
of something you already know about the relationship of the other two cards or telling
you something new about the relationship.
6. The last card of the basic layout goes to the bottom right in line with the bottom left
card. This may or may not be the last card in the reading depending on whether or not
you need further explanations. This card represents what will be Ultimately Possible
for you to manifest if you have made any necessary changes. It is possibly the
ultimate goal.
If further explanation is needed about the relationship between cards 2 and 3 then two more cards may be
turned over. Place the first one to the left of center and slightly above and to the right of the 2nd card. I will call this
card Center A.
Center A represents your Subconscious Intention or Hidden Agenda. I used the word hidden as opposed to secret
because it is not really a secret to you even when you don’t want to acknowledge it consciously . I will go into further
explanation about the Subconscious Intention card a little later on.
The next card , which we will call Center B, should be placed to the right and slightly above the center card and to the
right of the 3rd card, in line with Center A. This card represents What is Perpetuating Your Subconscious Intent. If you
know what is perpetuating it then you may be able to take steps to change it. You can also use other additional cards
to provide you with further explanations for just about any of the other cards in this spread.

Explanation of the Relationship between the Cards
We will start with the Higher Self since that is where all change originates. Your Higher Self makes a suggestion to
your integrated self. Your Integrated Self always has free will and so makes a choice or decision about the
suggestion, but suppose what you are currently manifesting or about to manifest, as reflected by the 3rd card, is not
what you consciously want. This is where the Center A card comes in.
What you consciously say you want and what your subconscious intention is, may not be the same thing or in
accord with each other. For example, you may consciously say you want to manifest more money in your life but your
Subconscious Intention may block that because you have issues with money that you may or may not be aware of. If
our conscious and subconscious are not in accord then the resulting manifestation may not be all that it can be.
I would like you to take notice of how the cards are connected by the lines of the Pentacle. Notice in particular that the
3rd card, What You are Presently Manifesting, or will be in the near future, is directly connected to the 2nd card. By
directly connected I mean that when you draw a Pentagram on a piece of paper there is a straight line connecting the
two cards. Your Higher Self (the 2nd card) is indirectly connected to the Understanding card ,the 5th card,
(What You Need to Understand About the Relationship between the 2nd & 3rd cards). This is because it is not always
necessary to understand the relationship. Some people manifest things on this physical plane just fine without ever
thinking about the spiritual side of things. Sometimes you just need to let it happen; so long as you are not interfering,
the manifestation will occur. Your Higher Self card (card 2) is directly connected to the What You are Currently
Manifesting Card(the 3rd card) because the manifestation process originates from there.
Notice that although card 5, (Understanding the Relationship between 2 and 3) and cards 2 and 3 are indirectly
connected, both card 3 and 5 are directly connected to card 4, What is Possible for You to Change and/or What You
Needs to Change. This is because if you are not able to make the changes that are possible and/or needed, then the
5th card (Understanding the Relationship between 2 and 3) isn’t going to help you. People may understand perfectly
well the change that is needed and why it is needed and still, for whatever reasons, can’t or won’t make the change.
Therefore you won’t be able to manifest what you really want on the physical plane.
You have to be willing to act on the understanding. Card 5 (the understanding card) is indirectly connected to the
Higher Self card (card 2) because your Higher Self already understands. It is, for the sake of this reading, were all
understanding originally comes from.
Notice that What You Can Change and/or What You Need to Change (card 4), is indirectly connected to you Higher
Self card (card 2). This is because Spirit will never demand that you change, it will only encourage you to change. For
your Higher Self change is always possible.
Notice also that card 4 (What is Possible for You to Change and/or What You Need to Change) is indirectly
connected to card 6, What Will be Possible to Ultimately Manifest. There are several reasons for this; in order for your
Ultimate Manifestation to occur there may be things that need to happen outside of your control but that are related to
the changes you make. These two cards are also indirectly related because whether or not your Ultimate
Manifestation occurs may also depend on your Understanding, whether this Understanding is intuitive or takes some
other form.
Notice that your Subconscious Intention card (card Center A) and what is Perpetuating the Intention card (card Center
B) are directly connected along the line between your Spirit(card 2) and what You are Currently Manifesting(card 3)
on this physical plane. This is because no matter what, your Higher Self is always making suggestions about what you
are Manifesting. When what you are consciously saying your intention is and what your hidden agenda or sub-
conscious intention is, are two different things, it is necessary to know what drives the subconscious agenda so you
can bring about a more positive expression of manifestation. Both your Subconscious Agenda and What Perpetuates
It influence what you are currently manifesting or about to manifest on this physical plane.
Notice, last but not least, that the Ultimate Manifestation, card 6, is directly connected to Higher Self or Spirit (card 2)
and Understanding (card 5), because everything comes from Spirit and understanding will always be present in some
form in order for the Ultimate Manifestation to occur. Your Ultimate Manifestation card is indirectly connected to what
You are Presently Manifesting(card 3) on the physical plane because what you Ultimately Manifest may not be
physically possible to express here and also because it may be a goal to work towards.
Eventually the two becoming one.
